Tarmachan Ridge

TARMACHAN RIDGE  - £55 per person

1 MUNRO, 3 MUNRO TOPS  – 13KM – 783M ASCENT – 5-7 HOURS

A great event for beginners or just to boost your confidence in ridge walking.

we will be staring from Ben Lawers Nature reserve car park and heading up to Meall Nan Tarmachan our first Munro of the day, whilst taking in one of the Munro tops on ascent to the summit. A nice easy Ascent - thanks to a high level start point. After a bite to eat we will continue along to Meall Garbh to start the ridge walk. A sweet but short grassy arete , great for those just getting in to the hills or wants to add something a little bit more adventurous to this Munro.

Once over the grassy arete we will continue down to the Bealach with a short grade 1 scramble ( this can be avoided via the bypass path ) before pushing up to the last summit of the day.

We will come down in to Coire Fionn - Lairige and pick up the track for a nice easy walk back to the start.

Ring Of Steall - Mamores Range Fort William - £65PP

4 MUNROS - 17KM - 1676M ASCENT - 9 - 11 HOURS 

The Ring of Steall is a real classic mountain route combining the traverse of four Munros with scrambling along narrow, rocky aretes. The route takes in An Gearanach, Stob Choire a Chairn, Am Bodach and then follows the Devils Ridge to Sgurr a’Mhaim.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                            What the day includes - 
We will meet in the morning and will start with a steep ascent up to Sgurr a’Mhaim, our first Munro of the day. Next onto the Devils ridge, a short lived rocky arete which can be bypassed if you don’t feel up for it. Heading onto the second Munro of the day and now halfway along the ring of Steall.

Another two Munros to go as we work out way around this epic circuit. We will descend into Glen Nevis passing the Steall Falls and over the wire bridge for a pleasant walk back to the car park.

You must have a good level of fitness for the event as we will be out all day, previous hill walking experience required.

An absolute brilliant day out in the hills, taking in two Munros with an ascent via School House Ridge ( grade 1 ). Some spectacular ridge lines , Loch & sea views it certainly makes for a memorable hill day on this classic round.

What the day includes -
We will meet at 8.30am in the car park and start making our way to the foot of the hills where we have a steep and continuous pull up, the effort on ascent gets us up quickly to where we begin our scramble. Another short pull up and we will have reach out first munro of the day where we can have a well deserved break and bite to eat whilst enjoying the surrounding views.

From there we will descend to the Bealach and then make our way up to our second and final munro of the day, Sgorr Dhonuill.
The day isn’t over quite yet as we have a longer walk back, we will drop down to the bealach and into the Coire where we will pick up the forestry track back down to the main road, here the last few KMs on tarmac which will take us back to the car park.

What to Expect - 

We will meet at the Kings House Hotel Car Park and make our way along the West Highland Way  for a couple of KM until we reach the start point of our ascent to the scramble on Beinn A Chrulaiste. 

An introduction to scrambling where you will be offered instruction, tips and guidance while you develop confidence and gain experience as we work our way up this fun filled route. Once we have topped out the scramble we can enjoy a well deserved break with brilliant views of the Buachaille Etive Mor! After lunch we will take a walk down to Stob Beinn A Chrulaiste for lots of photo opportunities and then join back on to the West Highland Way and make our way back to the Kings House for a refreshment. 

This event is great for beginners to give you confidence in scrambling and moving over rocky, steep terrain whilst out on your  journey through the Scottish hills.

Ben Nevis by the CMD Arete - SOLD OUT

Ben Nevis by the CMD Arete - Grade 1 scramble - £100 per person

17.5KM - 1506M Ascent - 10 to 12 hours

The adventurous route up to Ben Nevis, taking in the CMD and its Arete which will take us up onto the summit plateau of Ben Nevis.

With an early start from the North face car park we will hike up to Carn Mor Dearg ( CMD ) our first Munro of the day. With outstanding views in to the North face of Ben Nevis, a view not many hill walker see. Enjoying some food and a break before heading over the arete, this grade one scramble giving a fun and exciting route to reach Ben Nevis and avoiding the large crowds on the ascent of the pony path.

Once across the arete we will pull up to the summit plateau and enjoy a well deserved break whilst being some of the highest people in the UK standing on the Ben. With lots of photo opportunities throughout the day and taking in two Munros with a group of like minded people all under the safety of fully qualified mountain leaders.

INTO TO SCRAMBLING - BEINN A CHRULAISTE - GLENCOE - £50 PP

GRADE 1 SCRAMBLE - 10KM - 455M ASCENT

A great day out on a fun, short and sweet grade 1 scramble with some of thee best views Glencoe has to offer.

What to Expect -

We will meet at the Kings House Hotel Car Park and make our way along the West Highland Way for a couple of KM until we reach the start point of our ascent to the scramble on Beinn A Chrulaiste.

An introduction to scrambling where you will be offered instruction, tips and guidance while you develop confidence and gain experience as we work our way up this fun filled route. Once we have topped out the scramble we can enjoy a well deserved break with brilliant views of the Buachaille Etive Mor! After lunch we will take a walk down to Stob Beinn A Chrulaiste for lots of photo opportunities and then join back on to the West Highland Way and make our way back to the Kings House for a refreshment.

This event is great for beginners to give you confidence in scrambling and moving over rocky, steep terrain whilst out on your journey through the Scottish hills.
