  • This was a Fantastic feel good experience as we chased the summer solstice sunrise. As we ascended our climb, We laughed as much as we chatted pushing further up the Munro through the beauty and unpredictability of the Scottish weather! It was great to meet other likeminded people who enjoy the beauty of hiking. Our mountain leader Kirsty was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional and also just a really lovely person to get to know on our climb. A positive team player she was there for you every step of the away if you needed any support or guidance. Whether you fancy an escape, a new challenge or social experience. Wild Venture Scotland won’t let you down. Highly recommend Thanks 😊

  • Went out with Kirsty yesterday to Campsie Fells for the purpose of learning some navigation skills. By the end of the day, she had each member of the group confidently navigating using their map, compass, timing and pacing. Fantastic day, very informative and very clear explanations 😊

  • Completed the Intro to Navigation course with Kirsty and I can honestly say it was really good. Kirsty is full of knowledge and very passionate about what she does. Kirsty manages to simplify a lot of the confusing and daunting aspects of map reading and I do feel more confident about going out on hills now. Highly recommend. Thanks again Kirsty👌

  • Spent last weekend on Skye on two guided walks led by Kirsty, & Andy. From start to finish, they were both very welcoming & knowledgeable, with helpful tips given throughout the weekend. Kirsty has a clear appreciation that not every character bouncing up & down the hills is Bear Grylls, & has built a great wee business around this. I’d happily recommend Wild Venture Scotland to anyone interested in learning more about Scotland's hills & mountains.

  • Just completed the hill navigation skills day out on The Campsies. Full of very relevant information. Covered so many aspects of map reading and Compass skills. 6 of us on the course and Kirsty had time for all our questions. Would highly recommend the course and looking forward to practising my new skills.

  • Had a fantastic day on the Intro to Navigation course on the Campsies with Kirsty. At the beginning of the day we had absolutely no idea how to navigate using a map and compass, but by the end of the course we had all learned basic navigation skills to help keep us safe on the hills. This was all down to Kirsty who is a fantastic mountain leader with a great personality. She explained everything really clearly and had a huge amount of patience with everyone. If you’re looking to learn navigation skills, we would definitely recommend Kirsty. Thanks for a great day on the hills. Gaynor and Ian 😊

  • Had a fantastic day out in the Campsies last Sunday with a few others on an into to navigation course. I would highly recommend Kirsty if your a newbie to learning navigation. She explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and took the time out to give her full attention to anyone with any questions or if we were unsure of anything. I think I can safely say I know the basics of a map and compass now. Thanks again Kirsty. 😁

  • What an absolutely amazing weekend with Kirsty at Wild Venture Scotland. I was concerned about whether I’d manage my first Munro as I have some mild lung issues but Kirsty was so encouraging right from the start. So pleased I bagged 2 Munro’s and a grade 1 scramble! Lots of laughter from a great group and lots of swearing from me 😂😂😂 can’t thank you enough for the encouragement and the giggles!

  • We joined Kirsty on a guided group walk in the Cuillins and thoroughly enjoyed it. Kirsty is very encouraging and supportive, and knows her stuff. A few of us were a bit worried about the scree, but she put our minds at rest.
