Ben Lomond Sunset Hike - £50 per person

12KM - 990M ASCENT 6-7 HOURS

Have you ever wanted to watch the sun set whilst high up on the mountain tops ? watch dusk bring the day to an end and paint the sky in a beautiful sunset? Come and join us for an evening, hiking up Scotlands most southerly Munro, Ben Lomond via the ptarmigan ridge to enjoy the sunset with a group of like minded people all under the safety of qualifed mountain leader/s.

What the evening includes -

We will meet at 6.45pm at Rowardennan car park ( paid parking ) and start the walk for 7pm, giving us plenty of time to reach the summit as a group and a nice easy pace to suit all. Ascending the ptarmigan ridge is steeper than the tourist route but the views make up for the effort put in!

Once we reach the summit we will enjoy a well deserved break and bite to eat whilst watching the sunset over the western mountains and hopefully a clear view to spot Ben Nevis in the North.

Sunset 9.54pm

We will descend via the tourist route back to the car park. The moon doesn’t appear until around 1am that night so head torches will allow our light down. A perfect chance to stop and star gaze if weather allows.

This is a great event for beginners though you must have a reasonable amount of fitness.
